Mega Man- Later Chapters Chapter 1
Disclaimer- Mega Man and all the characters and settings are owned by there respective owners. The only thing that remains mine is the fictional story using these characters. It was a late light in the lab for Dr. Light as he spent many hours repairing a creation he had fallen in love with. The heap of metal in front of him was a passion that he would go the lengths of the universe to restore. Mega Man was a robot he had created over ten years ago to stop the destruction of the world. This machine was powerful enough to stop Dr. Wily’s feeble attempt to destroy all of mankind the first time he tried. Not only did Dr. Light’s creation destroy eight of Dr. Wily’s most favorable robots, but almost killed him as well. But alas, Dr. Wily is attempting this feat once again. Mega Man and his prototype partner Zero are up to a much more formidable challenge this time around with Dr. Wily’s force. His Robot creations and his manned suits are a much-improved breed of machines than Dr. Light could have expected. The last battle was a slaughter for Mega Man. Dr. Light summoned him to a nearby city to check on a reported disturbance he was in for more than he had expected. The last few years have been uneventful as Mega Man and a few other robots were serving as civil protection officers. They would patrol nearby cities and hold down peace between humans. This report was much different. A local law enforcement agency reported flying robots that were wrecking havoc on the downtown area of the city. Mega Man arrived to find 2 robots hovering in the sky firing plasma cannons at buildings and civilians. As Mega Man was alone, he had no choice but to face these two robots before the city was leveled. He swooped in with RC to fire his blaster at the first robot. The energy was reflected off and at this point Mega Man realized they had reflective shields equipped. They turned to him and came right at him. There were three robots now and Mega Man decided not to retreat to save the lives of the civilians. His programming required the safety of others before his own. After a few plasma shots, RC was destroyed and Mega Man was falling to the surface with three plasma holes through his chest. His backup systems failed as he hit the ground at 105 mph leaving a small crater. Dr. Lights whole force was summoned to the city after Mega Mans beacon became unresponsive. A long lasting battle took place. Dr. Wily’s two robots destroyed eight of Dr. Lights before retreating. This leads us up to the current events. Dr. Light’s forces are severely weakened and Dr. Wily is slowly destroying the world a city at a time. He needed to hurry and build up a more formidable force against his opposing crones or there would be nothing left. His main focus was getting Mega Man back in action. He took much passion in this robot, as it was his first success and a great one at that. Though the battle was one sided at this point and his force fifty percent depleted one battle, Dr. Light was not afraid. He knew Mega Man and the others would succeed. He had a standard weapon prototype he developed that would pass right through an energy shield. Also the armor he is using now is reinforced with a rare metal that was as durable as it was attractive. Yes, he was creating a greater Mega Man. He would have the same drive and same passion to succeed, and yet more powerful. Red was helping repair and reinforce his other robots and there would be many more to come. The battle right now is on Dr. Wily’s side, but that was inevitably going to change. TBC
